Journal / its cold in my house
its cold in my house- 01/30/2026
its really cold in my house! burrrrrrrr. i think when it heats up ill make this journal look a little blue, like ice, for fun.
anyways the reason it is cold is that my furance broke. I am actually typing while wearing gloves right now. its doable but feels a bit goofy. my fingers feel a bit fatter and slopperyer or wahater and omg im making so many typeos as well. ill keep hhem here bc its funny and shwos my frstuggles with tpying whaile wearing golives. im so usedt to backspafeing to fix it but i think its funny to leave it in. i am going to draw my outfit for this blog too i tik that would be unnyf my cat likes to hit my face wtih her tail when she ocomes on my dsk. whip wamp. my friencs have coiuned it as "average zelda lore" lolol.
I made a drawing of myself. I was wearing a beany, gloves, a warm jacket, sweatpants and fuzzy socks. My nose was so cold at the time too. Its kinda of scary how fast my house loses heat in chicago!
Furnace is fixed
ok so thankfully i got my furnace fix. Now Im able to actually type on my computer without my gloves. Where I live, Chicago, has been super snowy as of late. Maybe Ill take some pics and post em sometime. Its been so snowy here though, that ive had to cancel plans multiple times because of how intense the snow has gotten. I don't mind the snow though, I dont really get out a ton, and I feel way less guilty when the weather is shitty haha. In the summer when I rot inside my house, I definitely feel more guilty about it. In that way, I enjoy winter.
FurFest
in unrelated, but important news, ill be going to fursquard- a furry convention - and selling art over the weekend. This is super exciting to me because I have actually made prints of my work! ive actually never have gotten prints made before! I have a friend named M, who runs the art studio I figure paint at, and he also does graphic printing, so its cool to know someone who can print things for me :) There is a very high chance I will have overstock, but all the more reason to then apply to more art shows and art cons! Its also nice that I can market myself as "a watercolor artist", when I was younger I didn't really have one medium that I was like quite interested in, so its fun to have large enough body of work to actually have a portfolio. I do want to sell my art prehaps online too, but maybe not directly on this site. Maybe setting up an esty or ebay or something. idk lol at the end of the day my art is a hobby, so Im not in a huge rush to make money, my day job pays very well so Its not something to worry about atm. Id probably just use the money for investing in more art materials, or maybe paying off student loans? hmm not sure I guess it depends how well sales go as well.
