Hi here are some common issues ive gotten from people emailing me. I figured I put down issues people have so people can check here and see if they have a similar issue. I also just have other questions that maybe people would ask me.
Mostly commonly it is probably for this reason:
if you have a free account from neocites made after 2024 you have to use iframes as a workaround for drawbox to work.(aka hosting the page elsewhere) you could host your drawbox on github pages or nekoweb, or another site that has Non-strict Content Security Policy for free (use external scripts). an example of the iframe mirroring can be seen at my second neocities page: https://drawbox.neocities.org/ alternatively you could swtich to a paid account for neocities. thats what I do.
it could also be that your testing in localhost or offline. Image uploading only works on a live server ive noticed.
first make sure that you have the sheet set to general access - so that "Anyone on the internet with the link can view". Also make sure that you have 5 columns on your google sheet. also again make sure you are testing in a local host enviroment, just opening the html on your browser will cause drawbox to not work properly.
Im not the original creator. This was originally created by the now defunt site jhorn.net, who hosted their drawbox on nekowebs. at the time when I made my own drawbox this site was still up. But at some point in 2025 the owner has seemed to removed their site and nekoweb tutorial from the internet. it seems like they just moved sites its been exploring the old site. hopefully one day i can find the new site :)
