if you wear the miners clothing people assume you are new. Its a way to..

1. Not get robbed
2. get free things
3. go unnoticed

Place to work

Theres are places you can do manual labor for 100~ gold. You have to wait 12 in game hours to redo the tasks, but its a great way to get a bit of money. You can only do 1 of these jobs, so best to just do what is closer to you.

• Solitude Sawmill - Log carrying job, 100 gold total
• battle-born farm - hay carrying job, 40 gold 40 wheat?

seems to be good woodworkers here.

Holds and cities info

Whiterun

• very few work benches here you can use for free. Heavely gate kept. this one does not enjoy
• prices seem to be quite steep as well.

Markarth

free to use workshops. including - loom, ore smelter, Forge. However you can not conduct business next to workshops. you must do it in the trading area.

Karthwasten

seems to be an abandoned city. has 2 silver mine, and 2 ore smelters.

Solitude

Blacksmith area is free to use, I have also built up a relationship with some blacksmiths, buys ores, and selling firewood.

if you just stand in the blacksmith area people will do business with you.

Prices of various things

I try to keep this up to date. Sometimes things change a bit in pricing because of changes of the servers. Theses prices are mainly reflective of solitude blacksmith. The prices may be higher or lower in different holds.

• *Ingots can be exchanged for 10 to 12 septums at mints
• **Corundom Ingots are quite worthless. I would only probably take for free, or for a very low price.

Armor & Weapons

I have working at the solitude smithy, and have some great master and expert blacksmiths to learn from. I've been recording some of prices they charge.

the price of wood has gone up a bit.

* Warn customers that if they are seen by an orc wearing Orcish armor they are likely to be asked to fight in a blood duel

prices of Jewelry tend to wildly change depending on the person. Some people are actively seeking rings, others are on the fence
